The Entertainment District is perhaps the most bustling area of the city. Anyone who is looking for some excitement can gravitate toward this area and find something to spark their interests. Located right in downtown Toronto, it’s concentrated around King Street West between University and Spadina.
Here you will be able to choose a wonderful restaurant and watch the performing arts at one of the local theatres. There is also opportunity to experience an array of cultural and family attractions, or cheer on one of the 4 major league sports teams.
You will also be met with a handful of exciting nightclubs and various venues for nightlife. These venues are available for anyone looking for entertainment to last them into the wee hours of the morning.
By 2011, the nightclubs that populated the area had decreased and was replaced with an influx of hip and stylish condos and lofts. As the high-end residential buildings began to take over the area, the club lifestyle of the entertainment district quickly diminished. However, the character of the area remained and continued to be a neighbourhood full of energy to cater to the young and the young at heart. With transportation easily accessible (street cars and the University Young subway line) it’s both a convenient and exciting place to live.
